The Park People programs and events are designed to engage citizens, businesses and corporations. By engaging our community in programs and events which feature and support our treasured park system, we enable park usability and preservation for future generations. Through these efforts, we strive to improve community awareness, appreciation and engagement in our park systems.


Our programs and events include:

Weed-Out® a volunteer initiative designed to significantly reduce the proliferation of invasive plant species in our parks.


Oak Leaf Discovery Tour® a summer long event that encourages you to tour the beautiful 118 miles of Milwaukee County Parks Trails System.


Park Trails- An abundance of trails are waiting for you to explore. Learn more here

The Park People Annual Friends Group Meeting

Gather with other Milwaukee County Park Friends Group leaders and members to learn how The Park People can support you in your efforts to promote, preserve, protect and play in your park.

Become a Weed-Out® Warrior!

Join one of our upcoming Weed-Out® events- Saturday, May 26th, 2018:

Lincoln Park- Meet 301 E. Hampton Ave. Blatz Pavilion Parking Lot 1 (9am – noon)
Lake Park- Meet at the warming house (9am – noon)
