Trees

The Tree Donation Program

The Park People offers a selection of trees through its Park Market, the only program in Milwaukee County that allows a tree to be planted on your behalf in your favorite park. The program allows you to plant a new ornamental, evergreen or shade tree. Or, you may choose to “adopt-a-tree”, adopting the tree in a park of your choice. Whether planting a new tree or adopting a tree, your gift includes a commemorative hang tag.

Here’s what’s needed to donate a tree:

    1. Read through the program policy
    2. Call 414-273-7275 or email [email protected] to let us know in which park you would like your tree donation to be placed and what you would like engraved on the tree’s tag.
    3. Choose the type of tree you would like to donate (see lower left corner of this page) and submit payment.

What happens next? The Park People office will confirm your order details, answer any questions you have and keep you apprised of your tree planting. The Milwaukee County Landscape Department reviews the preferred tree and park chosen. They may suggest an alternate tree if a specific location is requested. They then plant according to the best location within the park. When done, The Park People informs you of placement.
